TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement to report your address upon re-entering Thailand depends on the specific immigration office you visit. While it's generally recommended to report your arrival, some offices may not enforce the rule strictly if there is no change in address and if you are returning to the same place annually. It is advisable to confirm the local rules at your immigration office, as there can be variations in enforcement, with some areas having grace periods for reporting. Always complete a 90-day report regardless of address changes.

The answer is mentioned several times, it depends on your Immigration Office. Visit them and ask, maybe you hear they don't care or you hear they care. In either way one visit saves you of paying fines if you do not care because advise is given that other offices do not care and your office is taking care. Good luck.

If you are coming to the same address every year then no need to report on arrival as original TM30 form is applicable if there is no change in address. However, the 90 day reporting still needs to be done.

David Broadfoot I deleted you first of four comment above based on the description of this group: "Everybody is doing their best to give advice to the best of their knowledge, please do not judge,

I'm not upset to give information. Only disappointed when at least 4 times mentioned in comments that these reports depends on your Immigration Office, still people answer with: :That's incorrect information I am afraid": and after a comma come with rules from a total different office which is not really helpful.

OK, i try one more time; it DEPENDS on your Immigration office, please give them a visit and ask how they enforce the rule about TM30 reports. There is no incorrect information or correct information. If the Immigration Office in your area does not care, so be it, if your office want you to visit each time you spend 24 hours away from your house or report when you come back from a border run, than you go and report or face a fine on the next visit.

Certainly in Udon Thani Immigration Office refileing TM30 is not needed. Don't know TM30 filing protocol for other immigration offices. Best to check with local office.

Depending on Immigration Office, some offices want you to report and update your departure card nr after every return into Thailand.

Check with your local Immigration office on whether you have to update your TM30 each time you return to Thailand from an overseas trip. Here in Chiang Mai we do. The offical rule is within 24 hours, but Chiang Mai has a 7 day grace period. The reason for this is that when you re-enter you get a new departure card number and your previous TM30 was filed with your old departure card number.

I'd say when you come back you might as well stop in the rayong immigration office and see if they are hard core about the TM.30 or not. It's better than getting a fine on your next 90 report for not doing it

no, I'm sure they've been getting yearly extensions of stays every year at the immigration office. They're just using the colloquial terminology that every Tom Dick and Somchai (thai and foreigner alike) uses ;)

David Broadfoot Than let's make it correct: The 90 day report can be done on-line, by mail, in person or by authorized representative. Be aware that not every Immigration Office allow the on-line or mail method.

And if you come back on a Saturday you can report on a monday without getting fined.

As the immigration office is closed the weekend.

Giving you more time to get back to where you come from.

You report in person that you came back from abroad, you can report on line that you are 90 days inside the country.

I don't know about Rayong, more and more offices want you to verify and update, new departure card number, when you come back from abroad. It is a quick and easy process, just walk in and ask how they enforce the rules there. Better to pay a visit for nothing than later finding out they want to fine you for not visiting.
