Do I Need to Update My TM30 When Traveling Within Thailand?

Sharing some information hopefully it will help some people. If not appropriate please remove.

So the dreaded TM30. I was under the impression that each Time I left my province (Chon Buri) and checked into a hotel somewhere else (Phuket for example), the hotel will register me and when I go back home to Chon Buri I would need to get my condo manager to register me again.

I did all this and immigration told my condo manager this is not required as I haven't left the country. She got further clarification and told me as long as I stay in Thailand my original TM30 will be fine. Sorry for the long post.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses TM30 registration requirements for foreigners traveling within Thailand, specifically in Chon Buri. It clarifies that if you travel to another province (e.g., Phuket), you do not need to update your TM30 unless you leave the country. The condo manager confirmed this with immigration, indicating that as long as you remain in Thailand, your original TM30 suffices.

Remember to CHECK WITH YOUR IMMIGRATION OFFICE to know what their policy is on TM30's

nope, thanx for the update. We are seeing more and more immigration offices going to the policy of ONLY requiring a new TM30 when you come in from abroad not for in country travel.

Of course, this is Chon Buri specific. Different immigration offices do have different policies :(
