Non O with work permit question:

I will be renewing my Non O based on marriage with the 400k in my bank account. I have a work permit that is linked to my Non O. Will I be asked for copy of my work permit?

I am based in Bangkok. Which immigration office do I go to?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When renewing your Non O visa based on marriage in Thailand, particularly if you are based in Bangkok, you will likely need to present a copy of your work permit along with other documentation such as your employment contract and proof of funds. The appropriate immigration office to visit for this process is the Chaengwattana Immigration office, specifically Section L-1. It is advisable to visit the office in advance with your Thai spouse to clarify the exact requirements and gather the necessary paperwork.

May I ask, without wishing to hyjack the post, how is your wp linked to your non o (married to Thai wife). Did you use income earned in Thailand previously?
Ellie *******
Technically, a Non-O based on marriage to a Thai visa/extension is not linked to WP, but WP is linked to your visa/extension.

You, your employer, and the local labor office..

My thoughts exactly.. My Work Permit is between myself and the Labour department.

there's no problem being on a year extension based on marriage to a thai and getting a work permit issued inside the country when you get a job. That is one of the visa/extension categories that can legally hold a work permit

sure! I was just wondering why they would want it as its not connected to the extension unless using the incom within Thailand method. I never mentioned my WP and they never asked. No worries.

You used Chaing Mai last time, have you filed a new TM30 in Bangkok?

You go to Chaengwattana Immigration office Section L-1

Even though you're using banked money method to show proof of funds (with the bank letter, updated bank book etc) you mist likely will need to have your employment contract, your work permit, etc when you apply for the marriage extension

I'd say go out there with your thai wife well before you need to get the extension and get the hand out from them listing the requirements and ask what you need to provide because you legally work inside the country.
