Hey guys. Quick question. I am currently on a Non-O based on Marriage. I am thinking of starting to work in Thailand, so I want to know would it be possible to keep my visa and get a work permit or would I have to change it to a Non-B and then apply for the work permit? I don't really want to change it as it is such a pain to get it in the first place, so hopefully, I can just keep it as is and apply for a work permit...
TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are on a Non-O visa based on marriage, you can legally obtain a work permit without changing your visa to a Non-B. Retaining your Non-O visa offers the advantage that if you lose your job, your visa status remains unaffected as it is not tied to employment.
