Are you able to get a work permit while on a marriage visa or would you have to have a Non B or Extension of stay? This is based on the assumption you are employed by a Thai company of course.

If you have PR, can you also have a work permit? This is also based on the assumption you are employed by a Thai company.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can obtain a work permit while on a marriage visa (Non-O) in Thailand, provided that you are employed by a Thai company. This is also applicable if you hold a Permanent Residency status.

If you get a job, you can hold a work permit on a Non-Immigrant O visa or extension based on marriage or raising children without any problem.
