Hi ,

I have a question for this group. Who enters Thailand with a 60-day tourist Visa, must show the proof of an accommodation in the duency period of quarantine or this rule is valid only for the SETV visa?

Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation clarifies that for a 60-day tourist visa, proof of accommodation is generally not required for the visa application; however, it is necessary for the Certificate of Entry (CoE) related to quarantine. In contrast, the Special Tourist Visa (STV) requires proof of accommodation for the entire stay in Thailand. Users also shared personal experiences regarding accommodation requirements during their quarantine period.

, well, I'm not really sure what you want to know.. Are you talking about the requirement for visa application at the Thai consulate outside Thailand? or requirements upon entering Thailand (i.e, entering process at the arrival Thai airport)? Or requirement for an extension once you are in Thailand and when going to the immigration office to apply? or what else?

After I completed the online visa and mailed information the DC they replied that my ASQ was missing even though it was not on this list of required documents. I emailed it and was approved

I had to give my residency after quarantine on both COE and Visa. I hadn't booked it yet and just listed were I was planning to stay. They approve it like that. My ASQ is now asking for that information

Requirements at the entrance to Thailand and for visa applications

The proof of accommodation for the quarantine period is a requirement for CoE, not for any visa application.

(STV requirement is the proof of accommodation of WHOLE period of your stay in Thailand, BTW)

yes thank you, my doubt was just about the period after quarantine

I'm not sure what duency means :( However, for the Single Entry Tourist Visa, for almost all Thai consulates, you do not need to show where a person is planning on staying. For the Special Tourist Visa (STV), you must show where you will stay, and pre-book and pre-pay the room.

Check with your local Thai embassy for the specific requirements.

Yes, I had a problem with the translator, I meant the time after the quarantine. Thank you,
