Has anyone experience or did anyone get a STV while in Thailand ? 

I was able to enter on a ED visa, but need to change visa type ASAP and was wondering if STV could be applied and acquired while in Thailand ?

There is a grand total of about 40 people that have received an STV and they all came from one city in China. I think maybe by there will be more this week but again from a specific city in China. While there are some exceptions around changing visas in Thailand, visas are in fact a way to enter a country and come with them a defined permit to stay. Be Your chances of switching to an STV are zero. Sorry.

There are no tourist visas issued in Thailand, and there never have been. Unless you have lots of money, like bt500,000+ for an Elite visa, but then that might be questionable with the background check, you are going to be at a loss trying to say here ligitimately. Skip school and the truant officer gets you...lolol.

You can mate. But I can tel you right away, I tried everything and the only way is if you pay and get admitted to a University for a Bachelors degree. And If you don’t attend they find out very quickly....hence my question

That’s what I tried at first. Even though the education is on the ministry of education list the embassy won’t issue the COE. When I hit a dead end and was in you situation exactly I paid and applied for a university degree and then they issued me the COE and Visa.

ahh ok. It’s so frustrating I have all of my ED Visa docs here and letter from the ministry of education but cannot do anything with it because in the U.K. they aren’t issuing ED Visa’s currently for private language schools
