Has anyone from the UK gone to Thailand on the Phuket Sandbox? If so would I be able to ask some questions? Thanks 😊

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around inquiries regarding the Phuket Sandbox program, specifically for travelers from the UK. Users share their experiences and advice related to the necessary documentation, such as PCR tests and certificates of entry (CoE). They express various opinions about traveling to Thailand during the pandemic, with some suggesting it's not worth the risk and others sharing positive experiences. There are also suggestions on utilizing group resources for assistance and clarifications on specific travel requirements.
Can I fly directly to Chiang Mai now and self quarantine in a hotel/resort? If you have any links with further information, I would very much appreciate. Thanks

I have come on sandbox. Just finished my 14 days. Fantastic catching up with friends and supporting locals. Now moved hotels. Totally free and a moth to help and enjoy empty beaches. Paperwork hassle but worth it.
thank you!! It was mainly about pcr tests and the CoE, did you fill out CoE first and then do the rest? And where did you pre book the tests if i may ask? Lastly did you need proof of a flight out? Sorry for all the questions 🙈 just don’t want to make any mistakes!

Why's everyone answering my comment to offer help to Elona? your just making it more confusing. Sorry Elona, I can't be bothered reading all this. Seriously my dear PM me and I'll tell you anything you like. I know quite a bit about everything. I have lived here for 8 years and just got back after leaving for work for a while.
I’ll be coming in on visa exemption. I was gonna book one with free 24 hour cancellation but was just wondering if they needed that for when I apply for CoE?
Flights from Singapore were 140 dollars other day when checked thats about 75 pounds. Not sure if can book ticket without permission to come in though.
proof of onward flight all depends on visa you are entering in on. If visa exempt or tourist visa you need proof of onward flight, many ways to do this cheaply or even free.

At the moment with what is happening with the virus it won’t be long before they stop all the tourist coming back to Phuket, it’s getting out of control again.
Mark Latty. The problem in Thailand is the low rate of vaccine distribution. Foreigners coming into Phuket via sandbox are already vaccinated so I see that continuing. However, I do see ASQ being stopped.
I just wanted someone to help me out with the order of documents I need and where I pre book pcr tests but I think I’ve worked it out, thanks though!
It's usually better to ask your questions than ask "permission" or who to ask for your questions use the collective group to get answers.

Don’t waste ya time to go.. Phuket’s in a bubble that’s about to pop, the rest of Thailand is locked down, effectively closed and covid ridden… just give up already
why would you say this? Thailand is crying out for tourism to start again so families can feed their children The way the sandbox has been done is a great way to get tourism started again. Why be so negative?
1. More and more lockdowns. I would not be surprised if they stop all domestic flights starting on the third of August, making it very difficult to travel around.
2. In the Deep Red zones, all the tourist sites are shut down. I think most of the markets are shut down too.
3. I don't think there's any way easily to get from Phuket to Chaing Mai,, and I don't know what's still open in Chiang Mai
IF the OP is coming to Thailand, not as a general tourist, but instead of someone who wats to stay here long term, OR wants to stay in Phuket, I think it's a great idea. Otherwise, postpone it.
Are you in Phuket, or been and gone already? Without knowing if you're here already or been here its hard to give opinion to your post of telling people not to come here.
I’m planning on staying there so don’t mind jumping through a few hoops haha!!

Why....you have to jump through a million hoops to get there, so a very small chance of bringing anything to the island. If you want to go people, go, supporting the businesses trying to survive, employing countless people. Get yourselves there 😃
