Anyone know if it's possible to go to an embassy or something and get the sticker after you get the DTV online? I feel like having to always have the print out on hand every time I enter the country will be a bit of a hassle.
Side note, for people who have used the evisa system and gotten denied. Did your application go from pending document check to pending approval or just get denied after the pending document check stage?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The eVisa system is stickerless, meaning that the visa is stored electronically and the PDF serves as your visa documentation. While you don't have to show a printout every time you enter Thailand, it is recommended to have a printed copy just in case. Some users have reported that immigration officers recognize the eVisa in the system and accept digital versions on phones. Stapling the printout inside your passport is a common practice among travelers for convenience.
Sorry, but you're wrong. There's been a transition going on worldwide from traditional stickers to e-visas. A visa is simply a permission to enter a country. Doesn't matter what form it comes in.
several people already reported that they were bad stamped on 60 day free entry because they didn't show the PDF print out of the DTV when they entered the country.
So while "your visa is in the system" that doesn't mean that immigrations always notices you have an eVisa 😛
Right, but you know that you have it and what kind of stamp you expect... and since everyone should check the stamp before (!) leaving the counter... well... and so on... 😁
Ideally, you should have the printout. That's what immigration is known to ask for. Indeed, unlike visa stickers, which do not show up in the immigration system, e-visas do.
yeah I think it's definitely smart to have the print out and show it to them. Would be a hassle if they stamp you in with just a tourist visa without checking if you have the DTV
Anonymous participant even with my sticker in my passport I had my passport open on visa page and stated here’s my visa… as some people on here, they’ve accidentally been stamped an exemption.
