Apologies for my dimness... but... Having got a DTV, is there anything else one has to do when entering or staying in Thailand? (I mean in order to secure one's right to enter & stay in the country.). I got an email with a single page document entitled "THAI E-VISA" attached... (The document has a QR code on it.) I have printed that out and could of course show the electronic version on my phone...

Anything else? Thank you for any help/ instructions you can give me on this....

TLDR : Answer Summary
Upon entering Thailand with a DTV visa, ensure you have your printed e-visa document with the QR code, as it is necessary for entrance. Present this document along with your passport at passport control. Additionally, confirm that your passport receives a DTV stamp allowing a 180-day stay. After arrival, be aware that your accommodation must file a TM30 form within 24 hours of your stay. Also, if you remain in Thailand for 90 consecutive days, you are required to file a TM47 report in person at the local immigration office.

No they want the printed paper. They’ve always asked me for the printed paper copy. Keep several with you.

As the above replies assist you with entering, you must also make sure your accomodation files a TM30 within 24hrs where you stay. As well you are required to file a 90 day report TM47 when staying 90 consecutive days in Thailand, you will do this in person at the immigration office that serves the location where your TM30 has been filed.

The TM30 has to be done everytime you stay at another address. Most hotels will do this for you without you asking for it.

The owner of the accomodation is responsible to file TM30 for a foreigner, even in case the owner is your partner or yourself

Wow okay I see. That's really helpful. Sorry I'm so ignorant. I'm thinking... I am spending my first night at a random hotel near the airport... (then going to an Airbnb in Bangkok the next day). Plan is to arrive at the Airbnb maybe... 18 or 20 hours after my flight lands. Reckon I should get the Airbnb to do a TM30, or just get the random airport hotel (where I'm spending the first night) to do it? (Sorry for the very detailed question!! For some reason I didn't know about this requirement.... & thanks again!

in the big picture it's not really an issue unless you need some services from immigration, such as an extension. Even in that case make sure one has been filed in the jurisdiction of the immigration office you are using. Don't sweat it, ask the hotel if they file. Definitely make sure wherever you plan to stay long term files one

Print that PDF file as it IS your visa, hand it and your passport to the officer when you stamp in at passport control

CHECK your passport when they had it back to make sure the stamp says DTV and you got 180 day entry stamp
