Hello guys. I have some questions.

i got a job i Thailand, and the boss. He wants me to be in Bangkok ASAP. But I will only travel on as tourist visa for 30 days. The boss will change my visa from a tourist visa to a work visa when i be in Bangkok.

1_ how long it will takes until i change my tourist visa to work visa (while i am inside Thailand)?

2_ what documents they need from me before i come to Thailand. And after?

3_ is there any chance to extend my tourist visa. While I am inside the territory of Thailand?

Thank you all.....

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user asked about converting their tourist visa to a work visa in Thailand after securing a job. They requested information on the duration of the conversion process, necessary documents, and the possibility of extending their tourist visa. Responses highlighted that the conversion timeframe is dependent on company procedures, advised contacting the employer for specific documents needed, and confirmed that extending a tourist visa might be possible under certain conditions.

reply!

1- 21 days you need to have before your visa expires to convert to non b

2- your company and their lawyer knows documents and process of in country conversion

Keep attested your degree diploma and education qualifications certificate original , from your country department and check your embassy in Bangkok. They will need for work permit

3 - depend on your country check Vfs.

1: That depends on your company and their relationship with immigration. They will need to get you a work permit and then you can convert whatever visa you enter on into a Non-B visa.

2: Ask them. They are the ones doing the paperwork, they should know what you need to provide. It's likely to be different at different immigration offices.

3: If you purchase a tourist visa before you go to Thailand, then you will be stamped in for 60 days, and can get a single 30 day extension while you are in Thailand.

Please note: Until you have BOTH a work permit and a Non-B visa, you are NOT ALLOWED to work, at all. You cannot even pick up a piece of garbage on the property of the company you will be working for. Companies will tell you that it's fine to work while the paperwork is being processed. This is a lie, and they are trying to get you to work illegally. They do not care, because if you are caught YOU are the one who will be in trouble, and the company will not be punished.
