After extending your Short Term Visa (STV), you do not need to do a 90-day report. The extension itself fulfills the requirement, and while some immigration offices may suggest otherwise, it's not necessary.

You do not need to do 90 day reports on ANY short term visa. You extend every 90 days (or less),which fulfills the requirement. Some offices do use the stamp that say you do.. But don't worry you do not and they will not let you file it.
NOT necessarily true. SOME immigration offices want a person to file a 90 day report if they are in Thailand longer then 90 days, while some only want it if they are on an extension of stay that is longer then 90 days.
