Hi All,

I want to apply for 30 day extension beyond my first 60 days here. I need to have my next host file a TM30 for me so I can get my extension approved by immigration office.

However, if the host does not file it for me, can I just bring proof of domicile (receipt with info) to the immigration office or does the host actually have to tile the form online for them to see it and approve me when I come in?

Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
This discussion revolves around the necessity of a TM30 form for visa extensions in Thailand. The original poster seeks clarification on whether they can use a receipt as proof of their residence instead of having their host file the TM30 form. Responses emphasize that the requirements vary by immigration office and suggest visiting the local office for specific guidance. Personal experiences indicate that some offices, like those in Chiang Mai, strictly require the TM30.

A receipt was not good enough for me in the Chiangmai office (in Central mall). I needed the TM30

Whether you need a TM30 or not is dependent on the immigration office you're using (AND to a great degree if you already have gotten a previous 30 day extension on another entry)

As far as if a receipt of where you're staying will work or not that is also immigration office specific.

There are OVER 80 offices, go ask your office what is required to get the extension at that location

In Bangkok at IT Square Laksi Plaza they are pretty hard on the TM30.
