I gave the information as correct the poster can decide to do with it as they wish, they could alter there flight to 30 days, but as i am sure other people will comment 1 day overstay at airport action is rarely taken. There was a post the other day and three people who had left with 1 day overstay all reported no action taken

Peter Forsgren. There are two angles to look at this. I agree that no-one should advise overstay irrespective of the length of time. However, you can weigh up the options. Traipsing out to the immigration office, spending 200-400 baht in fares, paying 1900 baht for the extension versus paying (possibly) 500 baht fine (depending on the mood of the immigration officer) and getting a notation in your passport. It's not a big red stamp, it's a small notation. A one day overstay will not affect any future visits to Thailand. So it's weighing up the pros and cons. Due to altered flight times it's happened to me twice (over ten years), both times I was not fined, but I always stress that one person's experience is not to be taken as the norm. On one occasion I could not attend immigration to effect an extension as it was a Sunday, so I went Monday. Again, a notation in the passport and no fine. Let me emphasise I agree with you to avoid if at all possible, but it's not the end of the world. Certainly more than one day I would definitely avoid.
