Question:

I have my Thai pass and Thai visa and am meant to be doing the test and go scheme - arriving on 17th January in Bangkok.

If the 10th January rule does get implemented can I quickly book a new flight to a sandbox place and book a 7 day hotel there? Will be Visa and Thai pass still be accepted at this airport as I would have applied for them, stating I was staying at a Bangkok Hotel? I will take proof of new hotel with me.

Edit: I’d be leaving on the same day as planned just would book my flight to Phuket instead of Bangkok.

You need to goto the destination you applied for you will need to redo the pass again unfortunately.

its not very clear about changing from BKK to Phuket. But one answer to a post recently they were told to reapply as hotels, covid testing is set up differently in Phuket.

because your Thailand pass only has your one day test and go on it, you would have to apply for a Thailand pass again under the Phuket sandbox scheme

Your Thailand Pass is for entry into Bangkok. If you don't enter Bangkok, you need a new Thailand Pass for Phuket. If you changed something like your hotel, it would probably be fine to just carry the new booking with you, but that big of a change will not be allowed under the same Thailand Pass. The airline probably wouldn't even let you board, and even if they did you run a huge risk of being refused entry to Thailand. Someone was refused entry recently for arriving 5 hours too early.

test & go is one thing sandbox is another, thats how i read it, i maybe wrong will look at it more. But agree with Wayne wait till friday.

Until its announced about the 10th no one really knows. They may say if not arrived by 10th then all pre approved are now invalid and have to re-apply its a crystal ball until officially announced
