My son was born in the US in 2021. We registered his birth at the Thai consulate, so he is a Thai citizen, but he does not have a Thai passport.
We entered Thailand on July 23 (his first time here) using his American passport.
I intend to convert to a non-imm O visa based on marriage, but I'm not really sure what to do about my son. Does he also require some sort of visa conversion, or is it unnecessary since he is a Thai citizen?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
TLDR : Answer Summary
The question discusses the visa situation for a son born in the US who is a Thai citizen but entered Thailand on his American passport. Responses indicate that despite his Thai citizenship, he technically requires a visa extension based on his foreign passport until he obtains a Thai passport. Parents can inquire at the immigration office for options, including applying for a one-year extension or obtaining a Thai passport to facilitate future travel.
