Hi!

Do I still need to buy Re Entry at the immigration or I am exempted as I am confused.

As on the top it says re entry permit must be made before leaving thailand and then it say exempted.

Non o ed visa university student going out of thailand in between semester holidays

UPDATE 1:

Didn’t need to apply for re-entry permit as informed by the immigration/reentry desk at Suvarnabhumi airport.

Update 2:

Was allowed through immigration with no questions asked.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the necessity of a re-entry permit when traveling outside Thailand on a Non-O Ed visa during university semester holidays. Initial confusion arose from contradictory information regarding the requirement for a re-entry permit. After consulting the immigration desk at Suvarnabhumi airport, the user confirmed that they did not need a re-entry permit and were allowed to proceed without issues.

I am confused , did you get the Ed Plus before you started studying? (I thought it was just for the year after you finished studying).

It does specifically state in the ED Plus extension that it is exempt from a re-entry permit so I think you don't need one

BUT

I would ask at the airport (just to be sure) at the desk when you stamp out OR at the re-entry counter
