I had to return to the UK week after I arrived .
I asked a question ...
Could I leave thailand and return on a
Non o visa ( 3 month )
Answer is yes . I got a re entry permit
From a little desk at passport control
( after you clear security ) the cost was 1200 baht . Took a bit of time allow your self a bit extra time ..
still valid to original date
This can be probably done at other immigration offices

What is the replacement? You’ve got a fill-in online now before you will arrive in Thai Land two days before it used to be called a dtac

OPLee Braund dtac is a separate thing .. visa allow stay longer depending on what type of visa

If I wanted to go to Vietnam for a few days and then return to Thailand until the end of my 90 day visa, can I just get the re-entry permit as you've described it?

OPPaul Singlehurst-Ward simple answer yes ... you would have to pay 1200 bhat in the airport at the little desk in passport control

Robin Hind airport charges a little more because they produce your photocopies. I think that is fair it is us to blame that we didn't get one at our local Immigration office ahead of time.
