TLDR : Answer Summary
After obtaining a DTV (Digital Visa Thailand), you cannot directly add your new spouse to your visa. Instead, your spouse must apply for their own DTV as a dependent. They will need to submit a copy of your DTV, proof of marriage, and demonstrate financial capability, typically needing another 500,000 THB equivalent. The requirements may vary depending on the embassy you apply at.

Given to me by Thai Embassy in Yangon. Each DTV is a separate application. Your spouse do not need a reason, only need to attach a copy of your DTV and proof of marriage (to qualify as “dependent” and fund (another 500k equivalent).

my dependents (my mom and dad) showed separate bank accounts of 500k because of #4. I didn’t ask if my bank account or 500k alone would be sufficient for three person (I assumed it may not).

Your DTV is yours only. Your spouse may apply for their own DTV based on your having one, but it’ll be up to the embassy you apply at as to whether they’ll need their own funds to apply.
