Good Afternoon; my son has to do a visa run. We will be going to Cambodia on Saturday. Should both parents go or can I take him by myself? His unabridged birth certificate has both his parents name on it. I know about my re entry permit. Is there anything else I should prepare and take with? Thank you πŸ™πŸ»

TLDR : Answer Summary
A parent can take the child alone for a visa run to Cambodia, especially with an unabridged birth certificate showing both parents' names. However, it's important to ensure the chosen border allows for same-day re-entry into Thailand. Additionally, verify if any other documents are required for the trip.

As James pointed out be careful what border you're going to bounce out and back with Cambodia at because some require you spend the night in cambodia before you stamp back into thailand.

SO before blindly striking out for just any old border ask around as far as what one will let you back in the same day.

they also can not bounce if on long overstay or changed to new passport while the old one expired. I am disappointed at OP that provided close to zero information in her question, leaving us guessing and question. OP can post picture her (blank the name out) so I can view the history and can advise with more details.

Apparently its closer from where we stay in Samut Sakhon? I have not done this before and not sure what border entry. Maybe I should explain more. This is just to extend or renew his tourist visa because he reached the 60 days. Our agents will apply for his non O when we return
