Do I need to stay out of Thailand for 24 hours during a visa run to Cambodia?

Quick question: In making a visa run (it will be to Phnom Penh), is there a requirement of Thai immigration that one has to be out-of-country 24 hrs, or can it be a same-day turn-around. Many thanks. I have lived here many years, recently on a Non-O, so, new to me. With thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual inquired about the necessity of staying out of Thailand for 24 hours when making a visa run to Phnom Penh. Responses indicated that an overnight stay is not required; however, entering Cambodia by air necessitates a visa on arrival, incurring a fee and using a passport page.

No need to stay overnight but entering Cambodia by air requires a Cambodia VOA. That means one passport page wasted and USD30 fee to pay for (or 32 if you don't bring a photo along). Penang could be a better option.

Thank you, Allessandro. I have a schedule crunch, so will do an Asia Air same-day turn around 31st and got my VOA on line. They take B&W print out and I can save a page. Thanks for the advice, much appreciated
