I have two kids who are here in Thailand with a one year visa (follow mother visa). I have My Husband (Foreigner), who needs to leave the country in order to come back with a Non-Immigrant visa. Is it OK for me to have the kids travel with us out of the country and still retain their one year visa status in Thailand? I have never done this before so we are asking for advice. Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The children's one-year visa is likely an extension of stay rather than a full visa. When traveling out of Thailand, a re-entry permit is required for each child to retain their visa status upon return. The same applies to the mother.
doubful they have one year VISAS and much more likely if you looked at their stamps they say "extension of stay permitted until" and have a date a year out.
You would need to BUY a re-entry permit for each child so they could leave/come back and not lose the extension they're on (and you need a re-entry permit as well 😉 )
I’m Thai, so my kids received a one-year Visa. That’s what I was told and I’ll have to double-check their passports. They haven’t received their Thai passports due to a long story. Where do I need to obtain this permit? At the border? Immigration center? I’ll call on Monday, but thought I’d ask if anyone had experience in this matter. I just didn’t want to leave the kids with relatives in Thailand while we leave the country for their father’s visa errand. Thank you for the reply.
how about you look in their passports and read the stamp that lets them stay here, you'll see it says 'extension of stay' and as I said, get a re-entry permit for them before you leave to keep their extension valid
