TLDR : Answer Summary
When renewing a guardian visa in Thailand, it typically isn't necessary for your child to be present during the renewal process if their student visa is already renewed. Previous experiences suggest that offices generally only require your child's original passport and visa details. However, as requirements can vary by immigration office, it's advisable to check with your specific office for confirmation.
Every year that I’ve done this (guardian extension in Phuket) they haven’t required my child to be present. They need their passport and latest stamp so my extension date follows theirs but didn’t require their presence. Each office sets its own rules so you’ll just have to try yours to find out.
