TLDR : Answer Summary
Currently, you cannot obtain a 60-day COVID extension for a work visa that is set to expire at the end of April. The last day to apply for such an extension, due to travel restrictions from COVID-19, is March 30.

As of right now, no. The last day to get a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 is March 30.

Neil Duma but if they don't then I'll have to leave on the 30th of April and won't be able to stay

, most likely, if you are applying for Covid Extension earlier than your current extension expiration date, you NEED to cancel your current extension as of that day (in your case, work permit as well) and your covid extension will start on the spot. You cannot work legally on Covid extension.

But for the exact policy, you had better talk to your local immigration office about their policy of issuing Covid extension.

It'll be moot. The 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 is added on to your existing extension of stay. You will be, in effect, getting an extra month.

IF you are interested in getting that extension of stay right now, you'll have to cancel your existing work permit and extension of stay based on employment, and then apply for the 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19

more likely, Covid extension is NOT added your current stamp unless you have Covid extension already. Many immigration offices let you apply for Covid extension starting on the day of the application. (of course depends on Immigration office though)..

I never heard of anyone getting rejected for applying for a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19
