Does anyone know if you can get a 30 day extension on an emergency passport once the 30 day entry stamp is up? I'm getting conflicting information online. Seems like you should be able to just like a regular passport but some are saying there are limitations

TLDR : Answer Summary
The ability to extend a 30-day entry stamp on an emergency passport in Thailand is uncertain and varies by case. Generally, emergency passports are typically considered for travel home only, and the embassy may advise against extensions. However, it is possible to transfer an extension of stay to the emergency passport, although the visa's validity will be restricted to the passport's expiration date. Experiences may differ depending on local immigration office practices and individual immigration officers.
Embassy will say no, emergency passport is for travel home only.
But if have extension of stay it is possible to get it transferred to an emergency passport and extend visa on that, though visa date will be limited to date of emergency passport.
When have replacement passport can transfer visa back to that.
Done a few years back with British emergency passport in Pattaya. But as an unusual case may vary in different immigration offices or depend on officers mood.
well in most countries for visas to be entered in the passport, the passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months, so as long as the passport has 6 months of life on it - should be good to go.
