Can I make the emergency extension 26 days before my normal visa extension ends? On Apr 8 the immigration offices comes to Koh Phangan for 1 day and I would like to apply on that day, as they will only come once per month to Phangan. (German passport, entered Thailand with visa exemption via air on Mar 6, extended in Samui until May 4) [suratimmigration.go.th/en/information.php?contentID=2004030001]([members only])

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about applying for an emergency visa extension in Thailand 26 days prior to the expiration of their current visa extension, coinciding with an immigration office visit to Koh Phangan. Comments warn that the emergency extension is based on the COVID-19 situation for those needing to return home and may not permit extended stays for holiday purposes.

You should get one of the daily flights your Government is organizing for you, but to be on the save side.

IGNORE your government, ignore Immigration and do what ever you want. Go for it, you might get lucky.

I'll be stunned if they let you. That extension of stay based on the COVID-19 virus is UP TO 30 days so you can catch a flight out of Thailand back home. It is *NOT* a way to stay longer on a holiday.

You have until May 4th to find a flight out. Find a flight out now.
