I flew Manchester > Dubai > Bangkok with Emirates on Oct 1st. Passport and VISA (OA in my case) was all I was asked for.

Passport, ticket and visa (if required). Depending on your visa entry type you may be asked for proof of a flight out within the number of days allowed to enter.
