Can someone enter Thailand with a Non-Immigrant O (Volunteer) visa instead of a Non-Immigrant B visa?

I have a friend in America who was just offered a job in Thailand. Thing is, long story short, the org can only help her get a non-imm O (volunteer) visa. Everything I find says to even try to go through the process of getting in you need a non-imm B visa. Anyone know of anyone getting in with a volunteer visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses a situation involving a friend offered a job in Thailand, but facing the issue of only being able to secure a Non-Immigrant O (Volunteer) visa, while needing a Non-Immigrant B visa for entry. Comments indicate that individuals with a Non-O volunteer visa aren't currently eligible for entry into Thailand, and mention that Thai Elite Card holders can apply to enter.

Sorry, but at this time those with or seek a Non O volunteer visa are not eligible to seek permission to enter Thailand.
