TLDR : Answer Summary
The post inquires if it's possible to obtain a re-entry permit from an immigration office other than the one where a visa extension was granted. A comment clarifies that while there are no strict prohibitions against this, it ultimately depends on the discretion of the local immigration office, as some offices may refuse to process the re-entry permit.

There is nothing that prohibits you using a different office than where you got your extension to get a re-entry permit BUT some offices just won't do it. All you can do is go to the immigration office there, tell them you're going to exit by land and you need a re-entry permit. They'll either let you get it or tell you to go back to Bangkok to get one

Hatyai should do then as it is the Deep South’s main airport. My local immigration office Pattani gave me my recent multi re-entry permit. As planning a land crossing into Malaysia from Yala Betong
