Good morning! Does anyone know if reentry permits are still available at Chaengwattana Immigration?

Second question, my husband is picking up my visa results for me. Can he also apply for my reentry permit (ill give him the documents needed) or do I need to apply in person?

Thank you!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on whether reentry permits are still available at Chaengwattana Immigration and if her husband can apply for her reentry permit while picking up her visa results. Responses confirm that reentry permits are available, but personal application may be required for the reentry permit, as the applicant usually needs to sign the application.

Okay!! I’ll relay the info to him. Thank you Benjamin and Tod 🙏🏻

There's no problem for him to take your passport and get the 11 months marriage extension inked in over at section L-2 at Chaengwattana (where you get the results for under consideration stamps)

BUT

They might not let him apply for a re-entry permit for you because you need to theoretically apply in person AND you're going to need to sign the copy of the new extension that he will get in order to apply.

To give him the best chance OF being able to get a re-entry permit for you I'd say have him get a "power of attorney" [หนังสือมอบอำนาจ] form (all thaiz know where to get them), fill it out saying you give him the right to apply for a re-entry permit for you and put two 5 baht tax stamps on it [แสตมป์อากร].

If that won't work nothing will

OR

you could just buy your re-entry permit at Suvarnabhumi before you fly out (they're open
****
selling them to people flying out)

What is a "picking up my visa result"?

>Can he also apply for my reentry permit (ill give him the documents needed)

I believe he can apply for a re-entry permit for you

@Benjamin *****
thank you! And sorry, I’m not sure what to call it but my “under consideration” stamp has the date to come back to immigration on August 11

Ok, you're closing out an under consideration stamp 🙂
