Hi, I have a question:

We are going to Thailand at the beggining of the year.

My husband is a kiwi (new zealand passport) And we want to stay 59 days. We do not have his single tourist visa extension.

Can he make his visa once we arrive in Thailand?

I will appreciate some advice.

Answer summary

A traveler inquiring about bringing their New Zealand husband to Thailand for 59 days should note that he will receive a 30-day visa exemption upon arrival. This exemption can be extended by an additional 30 days at a local Immigration office for a fee, totaling a maximum of 60 days. It is also advised to have a TM30 registration file before extension application and to show a flight out of Thailand upon entry.

Thank you for the information.

What about our tickets to get out of Thailand: Can we show the ticket out of Thailand 59 days after when we get in the airport? Or we may have any problems?

CONTACT the air carrier and see if you will have any issues flying in visa exempt (no visa free entry) with onward travel past the 30 days, that's who will cause you the issue NOT thai passport control when you stamp in here

As a passport holder from New Zealand

, he will be stamped in for 30 days on arrival as a visa Exempt Entry.

That can be extended for 30 ADDED days extension of stay at the local Thai Immigration office for 1900 Thai baht.

Here are the common found requirements for the 30 days extension of stay. Be sure to have a TM30 address registration on file with Thai Immigration.
