I will be returning to Thailand on a second SETV and plan to get 30 day extension. Is it possible to get more than one single reentry permit on the same visa, or do I have to get multiple reentry permit? I'm looking to save money as I'm not absolutely sure I will need the second reentry on same visa. Two single reentry permits are still cheaper than one multiple reentry. Thanks in advance.

Answer summary

The user inquires about the possibility of obtaining multiple single reentry permits on a second 60-day Single Entry Tourist Visa (SETV) in Thailand, specifically asking if they can get more than one single reentry permit on the same visa. Responses confirm that it is possible to obtain two single reentry permits by acquiring one, exiting the country, and then obtaining another upon re-entry. This approach is more cost-effective than purchasing a multiple reentry permit.

Thank you so much Tod and Robert for your speedy replies. It helps to know I can get two single reentry permits. If I don't ended up needing the second one, it saves even more money.

With the re-entry permit you still get the same Admitted to Stay date as you got on entry with the Single Entry Tourist Visa. a Single re-entry permit cost 1.000 Thb and a new visa almost the same price but will give you a new 60 days of stay.

You can get a single, use it, then get another single, if you want to as it will only be 1000baht each

BUT you can't get them BOTH at the same time. You'd get one, leave the country, come back, get stamped in and then buy another one for your next trip.
