Having searched through recent posts I can't find the info I need so.... I am travelling over on a 60 day Single Entry Tourist Visa in the next few weeks issued at the London embassy. My question is during the spell of that visa running is there an option to fly out to another country then re enter on the same visa obviously with the same expiry date of the setv?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can exit and re-enter Thailand on a 60-day Single Entry Tourist Visa; however, you must purchase a re-entry permit before exiting. This permit allows you to be stamped back in without extending your visa's expiration date.
In order to exit/re-enter and get stamped back in for the same expiration date you got when you used the 60 day tourist visa you would need to buy a re-entry permit BEFORE you flew out.
It would not add any days to your current stamp but it would get you stamped back in until that entry stamps expiration date.
single re-entry permit at the immigration office and most airports is 1000baht although at Suvarnabhumi it is 1200baht (but you don't need the form, the photo or any copies either) :P
