Can I leave Thailand for a week and return on a single-entry tourist visa without voiding it?

I came to Thailand on the 10th of November on a single entry visa for 90 days . Can i fly to Cambodia then stay for a week then come back. Will my visa still be ok or will it be void due to me leaving the country. Thanks in advance for your replies.

that's not exactly true. Single entry tourist visas are VALID for 90 days from the date they're issued. Meaning you have 90 days to enter thailand after you get the visa in your passport.

, just so you know the tourist visa is valid for 90 days meaning you had that long to stamp into the country. However when you do enter the country you were stamped in for 60 days. You could apply for a 30 day extension for 1900baht that would take you to 90 days BUT you only got stamped in for 60 days when you arrived.Decco ******

This is why I don't apply for single entry tourist visa if I have onward travel plans within a few days, not longer than 30 days, because if your passport is eligible for Visa exemption, then take advantage of the free 30 days.

if you are only doing one trip to another country it's a way to keep your 60 day tourist visa and the 30 day extension stamp alive without a hassle at the borders when you come back. If you're bouncing around from country to country it's not a good idea.

Wouldn't the re-entry permit costs add up if you have a plans to travel to more than 1 country? For example: Buy new Visa, then traveling to Japan, pay 1200 for the re-entry permit, then come back, then you pay another 1200 onwards to another country? Wouldn't you save money if you travel first, fly back on a Visa exempt, then go to your last destination pay 1000 Baht for a new Visa?Tod *********
I always tell people enter on the tourist visa, go apply for the 30 day extension, get a single re-entry permit and then you're good for 90 days in country and you can take a vacation to another country too and get stamped back in for the remainder of the time when you come back to thaiand

you would have to get a re-entry permit before you exited the country if you want to keep your current stamp "alive" It'd cost 1000baht at the immigration office & Don Mueang Airport to get one or 1200baht at Suvarnabhumi

It has a validity of 60 days since when you enter the Country and can be extended by 30 more days at any Immigration office inside Thailand.
If you wish to go to Cambodia, be sure to get a re-entry permit before leaving the Country, in order not to lose your visa validity
