Hello .., 

Sadly my friend is leaving the job and country.

She got her work permit and the extension of stay from one stop service Chamchuri Square.

-work permit valids until Feb 2019.

-90days reports for extension will be in Oct.

The questions are:

1. Is that possible to cancel workpermit and extension of stay by herself if she got termination letter from job?

2. Both extension and workpermit can be canceled at Chamchuri or does she need to go separately to cancel extension at Chaengwattana as well?

3. Does it also need to show flight ticket to leave the country after?

4. if the termination job date is flexible, which is the best to get her flight ticket as we don't know how long it takes for cancellation process?

Okay, hang about, Cham Churi Square's One Stop Service Center is both an immigration office AND a ministry of labor office too.

IF you get your work permit and vis extension from them THAT'S where you go to cancel them. You can't go to Chaengwattana and you can't go to the main ministry of labor office.

1. I just did it. Via lawyer. Normally it's the employer who cancel visa and WP

2. Chamchuri should be able to do it. I did it at CW coz I was not BOI

3. Nope. I did not leave. I got a retirement visa

4. Flexible? Cancellation should take 1 or 2 days

if you don't use Cham Churi for your extensions you can't do anything there at all. You go to Chaengwattana instead.

I guess it's BOI company. If so, both may be able to do at Chamchuri..

Before you cou;ld have 7 days (or even 21 days) 'margin' after you cancel both of them to leave country for BOI company employees. But not sure recently.. One BOI company could not get extra days for its employee - means need to leave on that day of cancellation, it's a couple of months ago. I think you can contact to One stop service at Chamchuri.

She cancel the Work Permit at the Ministry of Labor where she got it, she cancel the Extension of Stay at the Immigration Office who stamped it into her passport. Both can be done in advance with the termination letter and both will be cancelled at her last day of working. Cancellation process takes minutes, so all can be done on same day.

Immigration Office and the Ministry of Labor used to handle papers for foreigners, so you will get along with English language to get things done.

No idea what Chamchuri is. If she don't speak Thai and afraid to go alone, let her bring somebody to support.

So she needs to go Ministry of labor and Immigration office.

not to Chamchuri? sorry to ask again is that possible if she does it all by herself without thai staff help? (as she can't speak thai and afraid to go alone)
