Canceling extension of stay / work permit. My girlfriend resigned from her job and next week Friday 30th of March is her last day. She is flying out 5 days later on the 4th of April. The school asked her to go with them to immigration to cancel her extension of stay / work permit on Tuesday 27th of March. This means after they cancel everything she will leave Thailand 8 days after the cancellation if she goes on Tuesday with her school. From what I have read and how I understand it she has to leave within 7 days once they go cancel everything. In the comment section is her stamp. Any advice would be appreciated :-)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice regarding the cancellation of their girlfriend's extension of stay and work permit in Thailand, which is scheduled for cancellation on March 27th, a week before her departure on April 4th. Concerns arise about the requirement to leave Thailand within 7 days of cancellation, with comments suggesting that the cancellation date aligns with the day of the immigration visit, potentially leaving insufficient time for her to leave. A suggestion is made to have her employer state that her last day is April 4th to possibly secure a valid stamp allowing her to stay until that date.

she doesn't get an automatic 7 days to leave, usually the cancel the extension dated the day you're there and if you can't leave the country that day you buy an extension denied 7 days to leave thailand stamp.

She could ask her employer to write that her last day is the 4th of april. Then the immigration office will stamp her until that date.
