If someone has been issued a Non-B Immigrant Visa for a school but then decided to change schools before the work permit was issued, can they use the same Non-B for the new school or does the process need to begin again? If so, can the same embassy/country issue a new Non-B

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you have been issued a Non-B Immigrant Visa for a specific school and decide to change schools before receiving your work permit, you cannot use the same Non-B visa. This visa is specific to the sponsoring institution, and you will need to obtain a new Non-B visa for the new school, starting the process over again. Some visas even have the school's name listed on them, reinforcing the need to apply for a new visa with the new institution.

NO you can't pull the sticker listing the company OFF the page in your passport that has the Non-B in it :/

It's a COMPANY specific Non-B visa. <- you either use that company to get an extension OR you go get a new Non-B in another company name and start over.

Take a look at your Non Immigrant B visa, some Thai Consulates in this region write down the name of the school on the visa. It there is a name you have to start all over again.

he's talking about the sticker that they sometimes put the name of the employer on and stick it TO the page in the passport NOT the actual visa.

He's talking about the visa sticker. Have they written your employers name on it?

take a free tip. DO NOT alter or attempt to remove anything written or otherwise in your passport, unless you want to be in a whole world of hurt and be here longer than you may want to be, when it's found out.
Robert *******
paper as in the page of your passport

If the name is written on the paper and not the Visa itself....is it possible to remove it or is there a digital signature in a file somewhere as well?
