Do I need to leave Thailand for a new non-B visa after changing schools?

Hi, I left a school recently and was told that my non-b visa will expire at the end of this month. I plan to join another school soon and a few questions are coming up:

1- Do I need to leave the country and reenter with a tourist visa before joining the new school? In the past I was able to transfer from one school to another without having to leave.

2- If I reenter the country with a tourist visa and join a school, will it be necessary to leave the country again to apply for a non-b visa abroad?

My goal is to have as much time as possible to find the right school without having to leave the country. This may not be possible. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, if I need to leave the country to change visas, which place would you recommend at the moment? Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on the process of transitioning from one school to another in Thailand without having to leave the country. They are specifically asking if they need to exit and re-enter with a tourist visa before joining a new school, and if, after entering on a tourist visa, they will need to leave again to apply for a non-B visa abroad. Responses emphasize the importance of coordinating with the new employer and following official procedures for visa cancellation and application.

I approved this post to tell members there are questions this group cannot answer. For those, you need to talk with specific people or organizations (in this case, OP's new employer/school in future).

Thank you for your understandings.

Unless you already found a cooperative employer/school, you have to leave when your extension is no longer valid. It depends on your new employer and the immigration office they deal with if you can apply for a new visa and workpermit for a new school inside Thailand or not.

You HAVE to cancel your extension officially before you leave Thailand if you want to work for a new school.

It depends on your new employer when and where (including at the immigration office or at the specific Thai embassy/consulate) to apply for your visa. You need to talk with your new employer/school.
