Hello guys 🙂

I’m German and entered Thailand on voa almost 30 days ago.

My problem was thatbi applied for a 60 day e visa which arrived too late. So I entered by voa.

My question now is: I have to extend the 30 days next week ( stamp till 24.01.24 ) but wondering if I could use my approved e visa which was approved on 28.12.2023.

it says it „must be used till 26.03.24 „ so does it mean that when I leave the country now and come back on my old e visa , the 60 days starting by entering Thailand again or which start date is counting for 60 days …. Please help 😘

I don’t want to waste tjis visa so very appreciate any kind of help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A German expat in Thailand currently on a 30-day Visa on Arrival (VoA) is seeking clarification on whether he can utilize his approved eVisa, which is valid until March 26, 2024, after having entered Thailand. According to responses from the community, he can indeed use the eVisa upon exiting Thailand as long as he returns before its expiration, effectively resetting his stay for another 60 days.

Your 30 day extension of stay at your local Thai Immigration office.. these are the common found requirements for it. Be sure to have a TM30 address registration on file with Thai Immigration.

If your eVisa was issued after you entered Thailand, yes, you can use it when you enter Thailand again within its validity.

You will be stamped for 60 days if you enter Thailand on or before 26 March.

You still have enough time to use it even if you apply for a 30-day tourism extension.

oh really ?!? This is fantastic !!! U put in my visa that I would arrive at an airport but want to reenter Thailand on a land broader. U think it’s gonna work ? Do they care what was the arriving type ?

Whatever you do.. AVOID POIPET BORDER CROSSING. It's a problem for foreigners entering Thailand at the POIPET BORDER CROSSING.

be sure to PRINT OUT the Evisa email you will receive. Show it to the Thai Immigration Officer who greets you on arrival by land border crossing or by Air ✈️. Make sure you are STAMPED in for 60 days. And you can get an ADDED 30 days extension of stay at your local Thai Immigration office for 1900 Thai baht.
