Can a Mexican family use Visa On Arrival multiple times during their trip to Thailand?

Hi Friends!

I am a Mexican citizen and have 2 questions about Thai Visa On Arrival VOA.

My husband, the kids, and I would like to visit Thailand for 1 week in March/April 2023, then head to Vietnam or Bali for 1 week, and after that re-enter to Thailand for few more days before flying back to our home country Mexico.

1. Is it possible for us to ask for the VOA at both times we enter Thailand? We would like to avoid applying for multiple entrance visas from here since the Thai Embassy in Mexico is not located in the state we live in.

1. Our return flight will show the length of stay in Thailand for more than 15 days, for sure. But we have the return flight to Vietnam or Bali during that period. Will it cause any problem at the Thai Immigration??

Thanks a lot for your kind advice!!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Mexican family wishes to know if they can utilize the Visa On Arrival (VOA) for two entries into Thailand during their upcoming trip, given their travel plans to visit Vietnam or Bali in between. They also inquire about potential issues related to their return flight showing a planned stay exceeding the usual 15-day limit. Community responses confirm that they can obtain a 30-day VOA when entering during the specified time frame and indicate that both entries should be permissible as long as they can demonstrate their plans to leave Thailand within the VOA validity.

coming in March 2023 you will get a 30 day visa on arrival when you show up here for 2000baht (the entry stamp changes from 15 days to 30 days Oct 1st - Mar 31st)

AND as long as you're showing you will leave during the visa you're fine.

Coming back to thailand at the end of your trip shouldn't be an issue either (although the promotion of 30 day VOA will have run out and it will be back to 15 days). You shouldn't have problems with that entry either as you can show you're leaving during the validity of the VOA

Thank
@Tod ********
for your very kind and fast response!! The increasing from 15 days to 30 days of VOA will be effective since Oct 1st this year until Mar 31st next year? Apart from Apr 1st, it will be back to normal, as 15 days as now, won't it? A VOA is for single entry; if we come back to Thailand to take our return flight, will it be considered as multiple entries or will we have to pay again for another VOA at that moment? Thanks!!!

each time you enter thailand you BUY a new VOA when you land

Do I really need to apply for an e-visa beforehand, or just land directly and queue up for the VOA to enter the country?

either way is fine but it doesn't really speed the process that much to apply before hand ๐Ÿ˜• the line is the same for eVisa on arrival people and people buying it right then on the spot
