TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about exiting Thailand just before their visa expiration on April 16, 2020, and whether they could obtain a 60-day visa upon re-entry that could be further extended for 30 days. Responses clarified that if they re-enter before the visa expires, they could receive a 60-day stamp and extend it for an additional 30 days at the immigration office, despite concerns regarding the legitimacy of the year-long multi-entry tourist visa mentioned.

And I think at this point we pretty much beat to death the "unicorn" year-long, multi-entry tourist visa that
@Ka***
holds.

It IS a real visa, issued from a REAL thai consulate and as such should be accepted and you should get stamped in for the number of days you're entitled to when you enter the country on it (60 days) as long as it's valid.

AND just like all multi-entry visas, exiting/re-entering just prior to the VISA itself expiring (in your case on or before 16th of April 2020) will get you a final 60 day entry which you can extend for 30 days at the immigration office for 1900baht.

We wish good luck to the O/P and their 'unicorn visa" :P

Have a safe and happy new year (y)

@El***
brought up a good point (in a message to me :P) .

Seeing as there is NO such thing as a year long, multi-entry Tourist visa :O There's only a 90 day single entry or a 6 month multi-entry SO there could be a chance when you show up on that visa. The immigration officer at passport control (who know visas) will spot that it is a visa that in theory can't be issued AND they might not stamp you in on it for the 60 days that visa allows. :/

They might just void the visa (again because there is NO such thing as it) and instead stamp you in on a 30 day visa exempt entry.

If that IS in fact a year-long, multi-entry TR (tourist) visa (again which technically doesn't exist at all from ANY consulate) :P

Yes, if you enter the country BEFORE the visa itself runs out (on or before 16 April 2020) you WILL get stamped in for 60 days AND you will be able to extend that for 30 more days at the immigration office.

I deleted my wrong answers... :( That is the very FIRST year-long, multi-entry Tourist visa I've ever seen.

@Tod ********
so if I came in to Thailand again on say April 12th , than in theory I could get 90 days

Why did you blank out the TYPE of visa? That's a year long multi-entry visa of some type?
