Can I enter Thailand on a visa-exempt entry and later apply for a tourist visa via email from the consulate?

Hi people,

I have a rather silly question.

I applied for a 60 day tourist visa 9 days ago at Frankfurt!

I called them today, asking why processing ist taking so long! I was told it will take at least four weeks more like six to eight! I told them I'm flying out on the 28th of Dec.

Nothing we can do about it they told me!

Now the question! If I enter Thailand on a visa exempt and while I'm inside Thailand the Frankfurt consulate sends the e visa to my email, can I go to immigration with the e visa and get the sixty days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the possibility of entering Thailand on a visa-exempt basis while waiting for a tourist visa they applied for in Frankfurt. They expressed concern over the lengthy processing time and asked if receiving the e-visa via email while in Thailand would allow them to convert to the 60-day tourist visa upon arrival. Community responses indicated that this approach would likely not work, as visas must be stamped upon entry, and suggested alternative options such as exiting to a neighboring country to re-enter on the visa.

If you go 60 days you can enter on visa exempt 30 days and go to immigration for an extra 30 days, costs 1900baht

No you cannot as you are already in Thailand.

You could possibly leave Thailand...ie fly to Cambodia ...spend a week tourism there and obtain a new Thailand Pass and fly back to Bangkok and enter with the tourist visa...(just an idea)
