If my tourist E Visa doesn't arrive before my departure from the UK, I will enter visa exempt for 30 days and extend for another 30 days. If the visa arrives whilst I am in Thailand, could I then do a border run and use the unused tourist visa for another 60 days? I am staying very near a so called " friendly" border post.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user plans to enter Thailand on a visa exemption for 30 days and extend their stay for another 30 days if their tourist E Visa does not arrive before departure. They ask if an unused E Visa can be activated via a border run if it arrives while they are in Thailand. Commenters confirm it's possible to exit Thailand and re-enter to use the E Visa, which is valid for 3 months from issuance.

Your evisa will be valid for use for 3 months. At anytime you can exit Thailand and re enter to activate it.

Thanks. Yes, an immediate out and in would mean applying for the Thai pass whilst in Thailand (not sure if this is allowed)or leaving the country and applying in Cambodia.
