Looking to join my partner in Phuket in the next couple of months.
I will be entering Thailand on a UK tourist visa. I've seen online its only for 30 days? Is correct? and if so how easy is it to extend my stay?
Do I need proof of a return flight while entering Thailand?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Plus anyone that is kitesurfing or wants to learn I will be kiting whenever it is windy.
All the best.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice about entering Thailand on a UK tourist visa, specifically regarding the duration of stay (30 days or 60 days) and the process for extending their stay. Comments clarify that a tourist visa can be valid for 60 days if obtained beforehand, while visa-exempt entry is typically 30 days. Both options allow for a 30-day extension at local immigration offices in Phuket. Additionally, it's mentioned that while a return ticket isn't necessary, proof of onward travel is required.
You don't need a RETURN ticket, but you are required to show proof of an ONWARD journey out of the country within the validity period of your visa/entry stamp.

If you have bought a tourist visa from the embassy in London via the evisa system it allows for 60 days stay. My guess is youβre referring to entering Thailand with no visa, called a visa exempt entry, with which you get 30 days. Either option allows for one extension of 30 days at a local immigration office. Phuket has three. The main one in Phuket town. One on Patong beach road and the third at the Blue Tree water park. All three can do exempt or tourist entry extensions.
