Hello, I need a new passport but have a guardian visa that is valid until Nov. in my current one. Will I still be able to use the visa? will I need to get it transferred to my new passport? many thanks
TLDR : Answer Summary
If you have a guardian visa in your current passport and need to obtain a new one, you will need to go to the immigration office with both passports and a letter from your consulate. If you have a yearly extension of stay from an immigration office, they can transfer your stamps to the new passport. However, if you have a multi-entry visa from a Thai consulate, you will have to use both passports when exiting and re-entering until the visa in your old passport expires, as immigration officers do not transfer visas.
