Hi, I'm on a non-o multi-entry visa (Thai wife and kids). If I get a years extension (400k), can I, when the extension expires, change back to a non-o multi-entry visa ( NO 400k) easily, or will Thai immigration take a dim view of this? Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the possibility of reverting back to a Non-O multi-entry visa after obtaining a one-year extension based on marriage, specifically whether Thai immigration will view this change unfavorably. Comments indicate uncertainty regarding the availability of multi-entry Non-O visas and suggest reassessing the visa situation closer to the time of expiry.

no one knows IF when the consulates re-open they will continue to issue year-long, multi-entry Non-O visas as easily as they did before. ‎

IF you get a yearly extension, AND during that time the consulates do open, they do issue the year-multi-Non-O's with no proof of funds (the ones that did it anyway) you certainly could look into that option

That's an interesting question.

1. AS OF RIGHT NOW (to my knowledge), no multiple entry Non-O visas are being sold anywhere. And it's unknown when it'll be sold again.

2. If you get a one year extension of stay based on marriage, you can stay no later until late September, 2021. That's over a year.

If you get the one year extension of stay, I recommend asking this question sometime closer around August, 2021.

EDIT: Savannakhet and HCMC are not defacto selling these visas right now
