ORIGINAL POSTER
Does anyone have experience as a “digital nomad” working for themselves (private practice therapist) using the DTV? It looks like one of the requirements is working for a big company which I don’t.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers on the feasibility of working as a self-employed therapist (digital nomad) in Thailand while holding a DTV visa. Key points include that it is not necessary to be employed by a large company, as self-employment is viable. Participants share their experiences of providing documentation like company registration, personal tax returns, and self-written letters to demonstrate their ability to work remotely. Overall, there are successful examples of obtaining the DTV visa through self-employment.

I work for myself. Provide company registration and write yourself an employment letter and youre good to go. That's what i did and it was accepted.

Give them what they want, a letter/contract saying you are required to work remotely. AI can draft a contract if you don't have one.

You can work for yourself. I provided my portfolio and wrote a letter stating I am allowed to work remotely.

Therapist. You going to give therapy over the internet as you will not be able to have any clients in Thailand.

Your Company/sole trader registration, personal tax return, client contract. You don't need to work for a big company
