What documents are required for a DTV application under the soft power category when working remotely from Thailand?

I am applying for a DTV under the soft power (Muay Thai) category in Europe. I plan to put the info that I am employed and include my salary range and the company name in the application, as I’ve been advised that income can strengthen the application.

Did anyone receive a request to submit an employment contract and a company letter confirming that you are allowed to work remotely when applying under the soft power category? I would prefer to keep my employer out of the process.

Also, when asked how you will support yourself in Thailand, is it better to state your current foreign job or savings?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a Digital Tourist Visa (DTV) under the soft power (Muay Thai) category in Europe, it is common to be asked for documentation including an employment contract and a letter from your employer allowing you to work remotely from Thailand. Although applicants might prefer to keep their employer out of the process, such documentation can strengthen the application. Additionally, when indicating your means of support in Thailand, it's advisable to emphasize your current job rather than just stating your savings.

This is the request you might get. As you can see working remotely if you apply via soft power is perfectly fine. Ignore the two pensioners.

is there a difference when you apply in Europe?

I can only see ONE option:

workcation, (digital nomad/remote worker/foreign talent/freelancer)

which allows you to work on-line

Can you show me the European version with Thai soft power related activites (e.g. Muay Thai, culinary training and medical treatment) including digital nomads/remote workers/foreign talent/freelancer.

And maybe spouse and children who are digital nomads and free lancer.

Hard to understand why there are 3 yep THREE different purposes to apply and some people think everything is the same.

BUT this is Thailand where you quickly learn: Same Same but different.

If your intention is to work remotely from Thailand you should be applying using the workation option NOT a soft power option. And yes a letter from your employer is a requirement stating that you are allowed to work remotely from Thailand and won't work with any Thai entities or clients inside Thailand

Yes a letter starting you are allowed to be fully remote and work from Thailand from your legal employer is a common request.
