DTV easy entry at BKK.

It took exactly 10 business days to be approved while in Bali.. Everything has been done remotely. No need to go to the embassy.

I didn't really care to print anything out since they have it all in TDAC form.

It is just my second time in Thailand, but I witnessed people in front of me being interrogated for Visa runs.

So I thought to myself I want to do it in the most sustainable way possible.

Thank you Thailand for creating opportunities for us nomads.

Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

You might wanna re-think that "didn't want to print anything out" mindset.

That PDF the consulate emailed you IS your visa for the next 5 years.

And

all it's gonna take is an officer at passport control not paying attention and you'll get "bad stamped" <- stamped in on a free stamp entry rather than your 180 day DTV entry

Takes a second to print it fold it up and put it in your passport. Well worth it because you get bad stamped and it's on YOU to get the stamp corrected ๐Ÿ™‚

I am very paper conscious, as it's in line with my work. My phone with QR did it just fine. The officer appreciated the minimalist approach.

you wouldn't have a clue if the officer appreciated a "minimalist approach" or not ๐Ÿ˜›

You don't have to print the TDAC you SHOULD have a print out of the actual VISA that lets you into thailand ๐Ÿ™‚

Don't say I didn't warn you ๐Ÿ™‚

TDAC has nothing to do with your visa. You should print it out to prevent mistakes from the immigration officer.

tle in the world of QR codes I see paper as a total waste. The officer appreciated this approach. Easy entry. Thanks for your advice.

I've seen reports of people having problems, when only presenting the pdf visa document, on their phone to the immigration officer at the border, I remember one person saying, the officer was frustrated trying to enlarge the QR code to scan it, or another said his phone battery was dead, so another good reason to have a hard copy, on the E-visa site, at the end of the process, it specifically says "print a copy" it says that because the printed copy is considered to be your visa, you might be "paper conscious" but any government officials are certainly not, Thailand hasn't yet gone digital in many ways, if you haven't yet experienced a visit to an immigration office, the DLT or a bank etc, and everything needs to be done in-person, you will probably have a meltdown, when you see they require multiple documents and multiple photo copies of everything ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿ˜‚
