How can I apply for a DTV visa as a digital nomad in Thailand?
Hi all, I am looking at getting the DTV visa as as a digital nomad. I don't work for any companies, I have my own things happening, published author, etc. I know I can do it with a portfolio of work. Has anyone else done this? I am a little confused on that process. Also I am wondering if I am better off flying into Bangkok, get a hotel then doing my Visa in Laos. Any help or insight would greatly be appreciated.

I have seen a post from an online writer who got a DTV, it was a while ago though. Check the threads, the post may be there.

I don't know if being an author is going to cut it. But, you probably would be better off applying in your home country, if that is where you currently are, than someplace in SEA because they will probably be able to make more sense out of what you are saying you do. Also, be prepared to show a lot of proof (a portfolio of some kind) that you are an author and the other "etc" you will say you are doing.
